Musculo-skeletal Care

If you are suffering with foot or ankle pain, then a musculo-skeletal assessment and gait analysis will help to diagnose the nature of the injury, and Sarah can create a treatment plan to help you get back onto your feet. This may involve joint mobilisation, offloading, strapping, physiotherapy, footwear advice and/or orthoses (individually prescribed insoles which modify the forces acting on the joints and muscles of your feet).

Musculo-skeletal treatments include gentle care for:

  • Heel pain
  • Ankle pain
  • Achilles pain
  • Shin splints
  • Arch pain
  • Forefoot and toe pain
  • Joint pain (including Arthritis and Gout)
  • Bunions
  • ‘Flat’ feet
  • Morton’s neuroma
  • Biomechanical issues – joint/muscle faults which can affect feet, knees, hips and lower back

Visiting Collington Podiatry

Some of my patients tell me that they didn’t know what to expect before visiting a podiatrist, or even that they felt nervous about it. Happily, podiatry appointments are a very comfortable and easy experience! On your first visit we undertake a foot health assessment, which involves an understanding of your general health, so it is useful to bring a list of any medication you may be taking. It would also be helpful to bring any shoes you regularly wear, as the wear-patterns provide useful information about your feet and walking-style.

Our Aim

Every treatment is explained beforehand, and undertaken very gently. The clinic is airy, modern, and fully equipped to the highest quality. The whole experience should be very relaxing and leave you feeling as if you are ‘walking on air’.

Coronavirus/Covid-19

We remain open throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

- Please call to postpone your appointment if you, or any member of your household has any symptoms of Covid-19, or if you are self-isolating.
- There will be a gap between appointments in order for the clinic to be thoroughly cleaned, and to minimise crossover in the waiting room, so if possible, please do not arrive early for your appointment.
- Your podiatrist will be wearing full PPE, and the clinic will be clean and ventilated.
